BiographyMichele Keith is a freelance writer based in New York City. Beginning her career as a fashion stylist at Seventeen magazine, she quickly moved into publc relations, and for the past many years has written about "all things beautiful," as she says, most especially interior design. Her work has appeared in such publications as The New York Times, Traditional Home, New York Spaces, Departures, and the Four Seasons international hotels' magazine. Her newest coffee table book is Designers Here & There: Inside the City and Country Homes of America's Top Decorators. A beautifully photographed exploration of how renowned interior designers throughout the United States decorate their primary and secondary residences, it juxtaposes 19 designers’ two homes in a fresh new way, illustrating how these gifted artists express their personalities, employ their talents, and channel their passions. Michele reveals a more personal side of each, too, lacing each profile with the designer's own quotes. Each of their five favorite decorating tips are included, as well, a rarity in the coffee-table book genre. Published by The Monacelli Press, a Random House imprint, it hits bookshelves March 23, 2010. For advance sales, please visit www.Amazon.com. Michele has two other books to her credit: Great Country French Style (Meredith Books, 2006) that highlights American homes with French themes, and Country Living’s Easy Makeovers: 101 Quick Design Fixes You Can Do in a Weekend (Hearst Books, 2009). Both are available at such stores as Barnes & Noble and Borders. Check out www.michelekeithauthor.blogspot.com for the latest. |
